Rain abandoned the t20 World Cup 2022 Super 12 match between South Africa and Zimbabwe at Blundstone Arena in Bellerive, on Monday.

Finally, the start and stop nature of the game comes to an end as the match gets canceled due to rain. Both teams shared one point each. After rain delayed the start of the match between South Africa and Zimbabwe, the overs were reduced to nine for each team.

Zimbabwe put in a total of 79 runs losing 5 wickets in 9 overs. Wesley Madhevere smashed 35* runs in 18 balls.
Chasing a target of 80 runs, The left-hander South African opener Quinton de Kock put his team firmly in control with 23 runs from the very first over before the rain played spoilsport again. After a few minutes, the rain interrupted again. South Africa reached 51 in just 3 overs without losing any wickets. They were seen on the top of the game from the very first beginning of the run chase inching towards the victory but unfortunately, the Rain comes again and spoils the party. Later on, the Match Referee along with the other officials canceled the match. 
For South Africa, the right-arm fast bowler Lungi Ngidi and the left-hand all-rounder Wayne Parnell scalped two wickets each.
